In the course of a casual conversation with Jonathan Tammuz, Graeme Manson mentioned his desire to write a screenplay for a road movie in which two half-brothers, one a straight-laced Brit, the other a British Columbia fisherman, are reunited after many years and forced to confront their similarities and differences on the road from Vancouver to Prince Rupert, a route Manson, a B.C. native, has been familiar with all his life. "The story touched a nerve," Tammuz, who has a background in family psychology and was then a recent immigrant from England to Canada, says.
